Welcome to our web site!
During the thanksgiving season, our classes heard about
the empty shelves at the daily bread food bank. There we were with our tables and shelves full of things we hardly use
and the shelves were empty at the biggest food bank in the city - one of the only places where the less fortunate, people
just "down on their luck" can go to get something to eat.
We decided that we had to do something. After some discussion with our teachers,
we decided that we would start a food drive for the food bank.
Our Goal is to raise 2000
cans of non-perishable food items before Dec. 15! But we cannot do this alone! We need your help to reach our goal!
We accept all types of food items - dry, refrigerated and frozen, as well as personal care and household products, mislabeled
and unlabelled products, outdated promotional items, and bulk and slightly damaged products. Products are handled, stored
and shipped with care to ensure the integrity and safety of the product.(dailybread.com)
AND REMEMBER: Donors are protected by the Good Samaritan law (An Act Respecting the Donation of Food, Ontario1994) by
which donors who give food in good faith are absolved from any liability. Daily Bread adheres to a strict Code of Ethics,
so donors can be confident that no donated product will ever be sold, bartered or traded-only distributed to those truly in
need. (dailybread.com)
